2023 Stick Design

Ritual is a hockey brand designing and manufacturing equipment for athletes and elite players around the world. High performance engineering and design precision are at the core of the brand where each of their sticks are built for a specific style of play. It was important to reflect the same approach for the stick graphics.

Trusted to design the 2023 range, I expanded on the already established colours and shapes to bring a fresh and new look to the graphics. Each range is defined by a hero colour and signature shape to ensure clear differentiation between the stick types. To represent the athletes movement and speed I introduced a two colour linear gradient that transfers energy down the stick from the grip to the head. This stylistic element ties the full range together ensuring that each stick type has a unique expression whilst also feeling part of the same family.
